Six times a year I send out photos, guides, notes, and other goodies from somewhere I’ve travelled. You can opt for the postcard (Airmail), or the full thing (Field Packet) that includes a photo you get to pick!
How an edition gets to you
Pick Airmail or Field Packet
Pay every two months, or once a year for a little discount. Shipping is included anywhere in the US. You can also send either one as a gift!
I print and pack it
Two weeks or so before each edition ships, your card gets charged, I print everything out, and me and unwilling recruits (my lovely wife) pack each one by hand at our kitchen table.
It shows up in your mailbox
Editions go out in January, March, May, July, September and November. You can skip one, pause, cancel, or restart your subscription from your account whenever you want.
Airmail or Field Packet
Airmail
One 4×6 photo postcard each edition, with a little note on the back saying thank you and talking about where I took the front photo.

Field Packet
A 5×7 print you choose from three options, plus some other goodies. The first 50 members pay $10 instead of $12 for as long as they stay subscribed, and 50 spots are left.

Designed, printed, and packed by me at my kitchen table
Each edition comes from one trip only. I go through the photos, print the ones I like best, and write about what it took to get the shot and how incredible our planet is. Ten percent of each edition is donated to a conservation group related to the location of where the photos were taken.
Billing, shipping and gifts
When does my first one arrive?
Each edition has a cutoff about ten days before it ships. Order before that date and you’re in that edition! Order after and you’ll be in the next one. The top of this page always shows the next edition and its cutoff date.
How does billing work?
On the every-2-months plan, I charge your card about 17 days before each edition ships, six times a year. The annual plan is paid up front for a bit of a discount. Both renew until you cancel, and I’ll send you an email a few days before I charge your card.
Can I skip an edition or pause?
Yes, from your account, up to the cutoff date. Skip one edition and you aren’t charged for it. Pause and the charges and mail stop until you resume.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancel from your account in two clicks. If the edition you paid for hasn’t been packed yet, you get that payment back in full. If it has, you’ll get charged and it still ships, but we won’t charge you for more editions in the future.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes! Tick “This is a gift” on either option and add as many as you like. In checkout you can give each gift its own address and a short message that goes in with their welcome. Gifts cover a year and don’t renew. Whoever gets one can claim it on their own account and keep it going if they want.
Can I switch between Airmail and Field Packet?
Yes, from your account. The switch happens at your next charge. If you’re on Airmail annual, you can also switch right away and get credit for the editions you haven’t received yet, or choose to get both until your Airmail year ends.
Where do you ship?
Both ship anywhere in the United States with shipping included. Airmail also ships to Canada for $1.25 more per edition.

It ships at the beginning of January. After that, a new edition comes every other month.
